Our recent project at Revolution Labs in Waltham, Massachusetts, showcases the application of Aalberts’ “Apollo” PowerPress® and Press systems in creating a state-of-the-art life science lab facility. Spanning three stories and covering 180,000 square feet, this facility represents a significant advancement in life sciences, requiring robust and reliable mechanical systems to support its operations.

The primary challenge in this project was to design and install a mechanical system capable of meeting the stringent requirements of a cutting-edge life science laboratory. With the need to maintain precise temperature control for both heating and cooling across a vast area, the system had to ensure high performance and reliability while accommodating the specific demands of a lab environment.
solution
To address the unique requirements of Revolution Labs, we implemented a combination of “Apollo” PowerPress® and Press products. The mechanical contractor, Harold Brothers Mechanical Contractors, led the installation process with expert guidance from Bruce Sandler, who oversaw the press training.
Our “Apollo” PowerPress® system, known for its durable carbon steel press fittings and valves, played a crucial role in managing the facility’s heating and cooling systems. This solution provided the necessary reliability and efficiency, ensuring that the lab maintained the controlled environment required for life science research.
