We are also bringing the Aalberts Connect and Fit program stateside for development of our leadership team. During the pandemic, we conducted our first-ever employee engagement survey company-wide, and the result has been a leadership team more driven to be proactive to create a framework and processes for real culture to grow within our Americas team. 

Finally, there is much work to be done at every company, including our own, with regard to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We are on a journey, as we strive to become more diverse in many dimensions. We are making our company a place where people of different races and ethnicities, genders, orientations, as well as those living with disabilities can come together and enjoy working both individually and as a team.

At Aalberts integrated piping systems, training and development never stops. Whether it is training on the job, an external training programme or an in-depth training on a topic, we encourage our employees to keep learning.

By conducting personal development interviews, both managers and employees can define their development areas and translate them into yearly training plans. We believe that only by stepping outside your comfort zone you keep developing yourself. Good is never good enough.

Aalberts development program Connect and Fit

Aalberts has an international employee development program in place for those employees that are more experienced in their careers. This program is called CONNECT and FIT. You may have the opportunity to be nominated to take part in this program which in turn, helps develop you as a person and a leader.

Aalberts international post-graduate programme and trainee programme

If you’ve just finished your master’s degree and you want to hit the road running, our international management trainee programme may well be just the thing you are looking for. Over a period of 18 months we send our management trainees on six three-month rotations working at an different Aalberts companies. At least two of the rotations will be abroad. You will end the programme with a strong understanding of our business and you will have established your own international network of contacts. It is our goal to find you a role in the company that best fits your talents and capabilities.
